Brute force protection with limit login attempts

Brute Force Attack aims at being the simplest kind of method to gain access to a site: it tries usernames and passwords, over and over again, until it gets in. Limit Login Attempts is a lightweight plugin that protects your website against brute force login attacks by limit rate of login attempts and block IP temporarily.

Blacklist IP Addresses

Limit Login Attempts is a security plugin, protects your site accessing(Logged in part) from unwanted ip addresses and crawlers, which uses your server resource and bandwidth. You can simply add the IP address to the blacklist to block the IP permanently. The blacklisted IP address can access your site, but can't login.

Whitelist IP Addresses

Whitelist IP address functionality, allow the IP address to permanently access the login part of the site. So the plugin doesn't block the whitelisted IP address at any number of retries and login attempts.

Lockout email notifications

When a IP address reached the maximum login attempts and lockouts, the IP will be blocked to login for some hours, and an email with number of login attempts, number of lockouts, last attempted username, hours to block and IP address will be sent to the administrator email.
